Showtime redesign launched

Showtime, University of the Arts London’s online platform for all its graduating students, has gone through some major redevelopments lately, including a design refresh and the addition of the following new features:

  • Enhanced search – filter profiles by discipline, course and year
  • More information promoting summer shows and exhibitions
  • Easy sharing to social media sites
  • Integrated Facebook likes on the profiles

Showtime supports, promotes and celebrates emerging talent by offering graduates an opportunity for graduates to profile their work directly to industry. BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Development graduate, Nikita Karizma, was contacted by lots of press and industry enquiries within just ten days of creating her profile.

Arts Showtime is an amazing tool for the creative industries to scout young talent in the graduate pool.  The feedback within the first 10 days of uploading part of my graduate range has been phenomenal. It is a brilliant way to begin networking with creatives in industry, start building up a strong working relationship with stylists & furthermore it is a great confidence boost for any student to get exposure outside of college.  I highly recommend every student to make use of this exceptional online portfolio, it is an opportunity not to be missed during the process of graduating. (Nikita Karizma)

Giovanni Martins – Manifesto

Recent MA Fashion Photography graduate Giovanni Martins has sent us a new piece of work – a ‘moving fashion editorial’ entitled Manifesto.

Networks 2010

Last Thursday LCF and Kin Design hosted the first ever Networks event to celebrate the Graduate Showcase and to bring together freelancers and companies from the worlds of print, online journalism, photography and graphics. Visitors were able to view our students’ Showtime Profiles and email themselves students’ contact details using Kin’s cutting edge technology. The night also included a live illustration from The Pigman our very own Noro Kim, BA Fashion Illustration graduate.
