2010 BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear graduate Karishma Shahani has graced the pages of Vogue India.

Originally from Pune in India, Karishma completed a BA in Economics and a Fashion Diploma in her native India before beginning her BA at LCF.

Her graduate collection ‘Yatra’ was enormously personal and drew inspiration and elements from the multiple layers of Indian culture, creating a colourful, vivid and eclectic experience for the onlooker.

Karishma has enjoyed previous industry experience, having worked as a product designer for an NGO in India – promoting Indian crafts people and their creations. She has also completed work experience with Shripriya Exports in India, and the ASOS buying department in the UK.

The star attraction at The Looking Glass, our 2008 Graduate Exhibition, was the interactive display in the Rootstein Hopkins Space. As last year, each graduating student had a special card printed and arranged on shelves by course. Visitors to the show chose cards from the racks and placed them on the interactive tables to a view more work by a given student.
